On April 13, 2009, police in Houston, Texas arrested 45-year-old Queen Jordan after they seized white powder from her that field-tested positive for cocaine.
On April 29, 2009, Jordan pled guilty in Harris County Criminal District Court to possession of a controlled substance. She was sentenced to probation for four years.
On May 6, 2009, the Harris County District Attorney's Office notified Jordan's defense attorney that the Houston Police crime laboratory had tested the powder and no controlled substance was found.
The prosecution joined in a motion with the defense attorney to vacate Jordan's conviction. On May 13, 2009, the motion was granted and the charge was dismissed.
